• Location: Richmond, VA 23225 (Virginia healthcare jobs)\n
• Unit: Medical-Surgical, Trauma Unit (4th Floor)\n
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract\n
• Start Date: September 8, 2025\n
• End Date: December 8, 2025\n
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00-19:00)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs\n
• EMR System: Meditech\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1150 - $1230\n

\n\nLPN Qualifications\n

\n
• Active LPN or LVN license (Virginia or compact state)\n
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a medical-surgical or trauma nursing setting\n
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills\n
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care\n
• Preferred: Experience with trauma, telemetry, and complex wound care\n

\n\nLPN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide direct patient care to a diverse medical-surgical and trauma population (patient ratio 5-6:1)\n
• Collaborate with RNs, patient care technicians, and department assistants as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team\n
• Monitor and document patient status using Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) system\n
• Operate clinical equipment including remote telemetry, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse oximeter, scales, and wound vac\n
• Assist with specialized care: complex wound management, blood product administration, pain management, and management of tubes and drains (NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains, chest tubes)\n
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff in the medical-surgical unit\n
