About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President and Group Chief Risk Officer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Enterprise Risk Management framework on a global scale, with a focus on identifying, measuring, and addressing critical risks that could impact the company's financials and operations. This role requires a strategic leader who can work closely with key business leaders, underwriting, and reinsurance teams to ensure the appropriate management of risk in line with the company's risk appetite. The CRO will also be involved in catastrophe modeling, managing the group's economic capital model, and working with investment and treasury teams to effectively manage asset, liquidity, and counterparty credit risks. Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' of experience in the property-casualty insurance or reinsurance industry, with a strong background in risk management, underwriting, finance, actuarial, compliance, or risk consulting. A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required, with a preference for an advanced degree. The ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge of enterprise risk management processes, economic capital modeling, catastrophe modeling, and associated best practices. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to foster teamwork and productive relationships across the organization. Professional designations in risk management are a plus, and a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II and NAIC ORSA is necessary.
