Job Description

A part-time position is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to support a high school setting in Paterson, NJ. This role is designed for an experienced school nurse specializing in student healthcare, with a focus on providing consistent and attentive care.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing nursing care and health services to students, including a dedicated 1:1 student assignment requiring bus transportation.
• Offering medical support and monitoring throughout the school day from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm every Friday, with summer school hours also available.
• Potentially covering Monday through Thursday shifts in the event the primary nurse is absent.
• Collaborating with school staff to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Ensuring compliance with school health policies and protocols.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid and current RN or LPN/LVN licensure appropriate for school nursing.
• Previous experience in a school nursing role preferred.
• Ability to provide consistent attendance, strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfort with providing 1:1 care for a student, including transportation via bus.
• Availability to start immediately and commit through June 26, 2026.
