Key Responsibilities:Accurately submit claims to government and commercial payersVerify billing data for accuracy and completeness prior to submissionAnalyze and resolve claim denials and rejectionsPost payments and reconcile patient accountsCommunicate with providers, payers, and patients to address billing questions or discrepanciesMonitor aging reports and follow up on unpaid claimsEnsure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulationsKeep current with payer updates and billing policy changesRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred)Minimum 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, multi-specialty physician billing environmentProficient in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codingFamiliarity with EHR and billing systems (e.g., Tebra, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesEffective communication skills, both written and verbalSelf-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications:Certification in Medical Billing or Coding (CPB, CMRS, CPC, etc.)Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelinesExperience working with denials and appeals processes
