Maritime Tankers Vessel Operator Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maritime Tankers Vessel Operator to oversee and manage the daily operations of chemical tanker vessels. In this role, you will coordinate voyage planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with commercial teams to optimize vessel performance. Maritime Tankers Vessel Operator Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review voyage orders, sailing instructions, and operational documentation to ensure efficient and safe vessel operations.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with tugs, agents, bunkering suppliers, and slop vendors to support voyage execution.
• Maintain and update Voyage Management System (preferably Veson) with accurate voyage and operational information.
• Coordinate with charterers and internal teams on voyage planning, cargo planning, and communication.
• Monitor voyage financial performance and implement measures to optimize profitability.
• Review and process voyage-related invoices and cost analyses.
• Provide technical operational support, including tank cleaning, wall washes, and other vessel maintenance activities.
• Support commercial activities such as route planning considering weather, cargo, and fuel efficiency.
• Assist in market monitoring, risk assessment, and proposal preparation to support business development efforts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Maritime Tankers Vessel Operator Position Requirements:

• Maritime degree or Bachelor’s in Maritime Transportation, Marine Engineering, Logistics, or related field; or equivalent experience and education.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in chemical tanker operations, including team management and voyage coordination.
• Proven experience with voyage management systems, preferably Veson.
• Strong technical knowledge of tank cleaning, wall washes, and vessel maintenance processes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Prior experience with chartering operations and market analysis is highly desirable.
• Sea experience on chemical tankers is a plus.
