Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires proficiency in driving a tractor-trailer with an end dump attached. The Local Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Duties

• Operate and drive commercial vehicles, including but not limited to tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks.
• Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Utilize forklifts or other equipment as needed for loading/unloading tasks.
• Handle refrigerated trailers with care to maintain product integrity during transport.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
• Proven experience in truck driving .
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Experience operating end dump trailers is a plus.
• Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.

Pay: From $1,000.00 per week
