Are you passionate about working outdoors and making landscapes thrive? We’re looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Landscape Maintenance Laborer to join our landscaping team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities related to the installation, care, and maintenance of landscapes. You will play a key part in creating and maintaining beautiful, functional, and safe outdoor environments. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and eager to grow their skills in landscape aesthetics and plant care. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is a willingness to learn and collaborate with others

Gardening and Plant Care

• Perform general lawn and garden maintenance tasks, including mowing, weeding, pruning, trimming, and fertilizing.
• Learn and begin practicing aesthetic and safety pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants.
• Monitor the health of all plants and green spaces, removing weeds and dead or dying plants as needed.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as directed.

Installation and Construction

• Assist in the installation of landscape features such as trees, shrubs, flowers, sod, and decorative elements.
• Support the construction of hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and pavers.
• Help with soil preparation and other site work to support planting and construction projects.

Irrigation and Equipment

• Aid in the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Operate landscaping tools and equipment (e.g., hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment) safely and efficiently.

Teamwork and Site Management

• Collaborate with crew members to complete landscaping projects on time and according to specifications.
• Supervise and assist in minor landscape repairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Communication and Growth

• Must be able to communicate effectively in Spanish and demonstrate a willingness to learn basic English communication skills.
• Show initiative in learning new skills and improving knowledge of landscaping techniques and aesthetics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· At least 2 years of experience with irrigation systems in commercial settings.

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

· Strong organizational skills & attention to detail.

· Problem-solving skills.

· Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is preferred.

Physical Requirements and working conditions

The physical requirements is working outdoors in various and sometimes harsh weather conditions—including rain, wind, intense heat, and muddy environments. Candidates must be comfortable performing tasks in these elements on a regular basis.

• Hearing: Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Speaking: Adequate to perform the essential functions of the job, such as communicating with multiple personnel.
• Vision: Normal visual acuity.
• Walking: Able to walk for a prolonged period outdoors.
• Stand: Able to stand, bend stoop, knell as need during job walkthrough.
• Lifting to 50 lbs.
• Pushing up to 50 lbs.
