Construction Superintendent

About the Company

Established road construction company who have been in operation for many years. Due to increased project pipeline and growth, they are now seeking an experienced Road Highways Superintendent.

They have well established relationships throughout the region and have office locations in multiple parts of Florida.

Experience Required

• At least 3 years of experience working as a Superintendent
• Prior experience in Heavy Highway/Road Construction 
• Asphalt Paving Level 1 & 2
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Traffic Control Supervisor Certification
• Excellent written and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Laborers and overall responsibility for site work and progress
• Inspect work to ensure alignment with contract obligations and quality standards
• Hold weekly safety and subcontractor meetings
• Understanding of plans and owner specifications 
• Liaise with Project Manager on project risks including safety, supplier issues, site conditions, scheduling
• Supervision and participation in securing compliance that contract work specifications
• The preparation of detailed resources requirements from the quantity take-offs and specifications
