Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Analyst with direct experience supporting a city's What Works Cities (WWC) Certification process. This role plays a critical part in working closely with the Data Governance & Compliance Manager to build out governance frameworks, track evidence and milestones, maintain documentation, and manage uploads to the Results for America dashboard.

The ideal candidate is familiar with the structure and expectations of WWC’s certification program and understands how to align internal data, policies, and documentation with their framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage data collection and evidence uploads in alignment with WWC certification criteria
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external WWC support teams to gather required documentation
  • Maintain and update the Results for America dashboard with timely and accurate submissions
  • Track progress against Silver, Gold, and Platinum certification requirements
  • Assist in the development of internal policies, RACI models, and stewardship role documentation as needed
  • Produce reports, summaries, and presentations that communicate progress and next steps
  • Support ongoing governance-related activities, including data management policies and compliance practices
  • Assist in preparing internal teams for key WWC check-ins and reviews

Required Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting a What Works Cities Certification effort for a city, county, or affiliated government agency
  • Strong understanding of WWC framework criteria and foundational practice areas
  • Familiarity with the Results for America dashboard and evidence tracking structure
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder input and documentation (e.g., from HR, Finance, IT, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills — able to translate certification requirements into actionable internal tasks
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, and general comfort using project tracking dashboards or tools
  • Detail-oriented and self-directed, with a commitment to meeting deadlines
