Entry-Level Substation Electrical Engineer Location: Mount Laurel Job Code: 18584 # of openings: 1 Job Summary POWER Engineers is seeking an Entry-Level Substation Electrical Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department in our Mount Laurel, New Jersey office. Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (employee will need to live within driving distance of the office). Responsibilities The Entry-Level Substation Electrical Engineer will support the department in producing designs consistent with POWER's mission and culture. Responsibilities include: Perform detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations, including: One-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams SCADA, communications, station physical layouts Sections/elevations, cable and conduit plans and details Ground grid, foundation, structural, control enclosure, lightning protection, yard lighting plans Bills of Materials, site visits Support QA/QC for deliverables Adhere to client standards and processes Occasional travel Required Education/Experience BSEE or BSEET degree from an accredited university, preferably with a power option Strong electrical engineering knowledge Good communication skills in English Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Desired Education/Experience 3 months of relevant electrical engineering experience (internship or co-op) Knowledge of electrical utility substations and design Engineer In Training (EIT) or FE exam pass POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, is a global consulting firm in the energy sector.
