Job Description

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year, focusing on early childhood and PreK students. This contract position requires an Arkansas Special Education Teaching License and offers a rewarding role supporting young learners across multiple educational settings.

This itinerant role involves traveling to various schools and centers within the area, including ABC Centers and Head Start programs. The position combines inclusive classroom teaching with pull-out support for individual students, primarily in the mornings. Afternoons are dedicated to administrative duties, testing, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, often scheduled during student naptime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to early childhood and PreK students with special education needs
• Provide both inclusive classroom support and individualized pull-out sessions
• Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement effective IEPs
• Manage testing, documentation, and administrative tasks associated with special education services
• Travel between multiple sites, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in different educational environments

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Arkansas Special Education Teaching License
• Experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged students
• Strong background or preferred experience working with students with autism
• Ability to manage a flexible schedule and travel to multiple locations daily
• Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively support students, families, and educators
