Job specification - Serve as a clinical expert in critical care nursing, offering consultation and guidance to nurses and other healthcare staff.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for critically ill patients.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety, care quality, and outcomes in the critical care unit.
- Facilitate staff development and ongoing education on best practices, new protocols, and advances in critical care nursing.
- Conduct clinical research and apply evidence-based practices to improve patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, guidelines, and policies to ensure consistency and effectiveness in care delivery.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, fostering professional growth and excellence in critical care practice.
- Monitor patient care outcomes and implement strategies to improve patient safety and care quality.
Candidate requirements - Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Washington.
- Master's degree in Nursing with a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of critical care nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership or advanced practice roles.
- In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing standards, protocols, and advanced patient care techniques.
- Strong skills in mentorship, clinical education, and staff development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- BLS, ACLS, and other relevant certifications required.
