About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with a strong background in tourism and destination marketing. The successful candidate will be a diplomatic, engaging, and passionate leader, tasked with serving as the strategic and operational head of three tourism-focused organizations. This hands-on role involves advancing the mission of each organization to stimulate tourism-driven economic development, leading destination marketing initiatives, and nurturing robust partnerships at regional, state, and national levels. The CEO will be responsible for attracting group events, such as meetings, conferences, and sports tournaments, to the region, and must be adept at fostering relationships to ensure the success of these endeavors. Applicants for the CEO position at the company should have a proven track record in a similar leadership role within the tourism and hospitality industry. The role requires a leader who can effectively promote travel to the region, with a focus on group events, and who is dedicated to the growth and success of the local economy through tourism. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies, and will have experience in managing and leading teams. A deep understanding of the tourism industry, including destination marketing, and a network of contacts at various levels is essential. The CEO must also be a strong communicator, both in person and through various media, and be able to represent the organization with professionalism and enthusiasm.
