We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Hackensack, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance. The role requires strong analytical skills and familiarity with essential accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tasks, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.

• Reconcile bank statements and accounts to maintain accurate financial records.

• Assist in preparing and posting accounting entries in compliance with company policies.

• Support cost accounting processes by analyzing expenses and ensuring proper allocation.

• Utilize Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs to organize and analyze financial data.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve efficiency.

• Maintain detailed documentation of financial transactions for audit and reporting purposes.

• Participate in monthly and quarterly financial close processes.

• Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong understanding of bank and account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of basic cost accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
